TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

First Nations people are respectfully advised that the exhibition may includes work, names, voices, and images of deceased people. 

By entering the Gallery, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their use for promotional, or any other purpose by the National Trust of Australia (NSW). Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote National Trust events in the future and
highlight the event.

The safety and security of our visitors is of paramount importance to us as we protect the works of art on display.

Whenever you are visiting the Gallery you must not:

  • use flash photographic equipment without permission;
  • touch, or in any other way, interfere with objects or display;
  • smoke or use e-cigarettes anywhere indoors, or outdoors;
  • eat or drink in the Gallery; or
  • bring animals into the Gallery, except for certified assistance dogs accredited under a state or territory law to assist a person with a disability to alleviate the effects of disability; or that is accredited by an animal training organisation.

The following items are prohibited :

  • any kind of knife, real or toy weapon or other item or substance restricted by law;
  • large bags, backpacks, parcels or other containers;
  • tripods, aerosol containers, rolled prints/posters, metal tip umbrellas, balloons;
  • any other item which in the discretion of the Gallery staff is considered capable of being used to cause damage to or conceal an object for removal.

We reserve the right to:

  • exclude or remove the public or any other person from any building, or part of any building or site;
  • inspect any bag, luggage or object, however described, upon entry to and before leaving Gallery;
  • use Security Closed Circuit Television cameras throughout Gallery; and
  • prohibit any other personal items deemed necessary.

Whenever you are in the Gallery you must:

  • conduct yourself in a manner which, in the reasonable opinion of Gallery, does not interfere with, disrupt or offend other persons in the Gallery;
  • comply with any reasonable request by Gallery staff in relation to your entry or continued presence in the Gallery.

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Lost Property

Any items left at the gallery will be kept for one month. If unclaimed after one-month items will be disposed of without notice.

Parking

By entering our Car Park, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:
  1. You enter and use this carpark at your own risk and solely for the purposes of parking your vehicle whilst you visit the National Trust of Australia (NSW) (NTANSW).
  2. Vehicle entry is limited to cars, motorcycles and bicycles without any attached trailers or other wheeled vehicles.
  3. You agree:
    1. to drive your vehicle carefully and responsibly, obeying all indicated speed limits and other signs and otherwise comply with all relevant road rules;
    2. to park wholly within designated parking spaces identified for vehicles;
    3. not to obstruct any other vehicles, individuals, thoroughfares, entrances or exits in this Car Park; and
  4. We reserve the right to enter, move or tow any vehicle to any location inside or outside of the car park if it has contravened any applicable law, these Terms and Conditions or for operational, safety or security reasons. Where we take any steps because of a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any applicable law, you will be liable to NTANSW for any costs we incur in doing so.
  5. To the maximum extent allowable by law, we are not liable for:
    1. injury or death to any individuals or pets in this Car Park;
    2. any damage to, destruction of or theft of your vehicle or any of your property in this Car Park however caused; and
    3. any financial or consequential loss to you arising out of your use of this Car Park.
  6. If any of these Terms and Conditions are found to be unenforceable the offending part is severed without effect on the remaining conditions.
  7. The laws of New South Wales apply to these Terms and Conditions where applicable.

The S.H. Ervin Gallery acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live and work, the Gadigal people, and we pay our respects to their elders, past present and future.
