The S.H. Ervin Gallery is Sydney’s only public gallery not funded by any level of Government or private foundation.
Our art collection needs conservation.
We have identified three significant artworks from our collection that are in desperate need of conservation.
The c.1835 watercolours feature the villa and grounds of Cobham Hall, built by convict-turned-entrepreneur Solomon Wiseman. These works were used for reference material in the critically acclaimed novel The Secret River by Kate Grenville, a descendant of Wiseman.
With your financial support, we can engage specialist conservators to restore these pieces to their former glory. Donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
